Porcelain coffee cup OTG (Maisons du Monde) - Sweater (River Island) - Macarons (Pierre Marcolini)
"Maar we hebben nog helemaal geen winter (lees: sneeuw) gehad!" is het antwoord van zowat iedereen met een greintje optimisme op mijn onvermoeibaar geklaag over natte voeten, wegwapperende paraplu's, onverwachte rukwinden en vriestemperaturen die mijn fysionomie allesbehalve ophemelen. Maar hey, "still standing!" (voorlopig dan nog) en dat heb ik te danken aan mijn 3 beste post-Kerstmis-en-Nieuwjaar vrienden zijnde XL koffie (in leuke on-the-go bekers, want soms moet je het huis echt wel uit!) XL wollen truien (verwarming op +10 en dan in een oversized trui, undies en hoge kniesokken rondlopen, anything more fun?) en de saviour of saviours: Macarons! Maar zo'n doosje is natuurlijk wel écht een emergency case (of een MBWA = Macarons Bij Winter Aanvallen). Je zit misschien niet in Parijs, maar le goût is in ieder geval binnen handbereik. Happy survivin, babes!
"But we didn't have a real winter (read: snow) yet!" is somewhat everyone's answer to my unstoppable nagging about wet feet, flying umbrella's and the fact that my face is freezing off, basically. I don't care for snow or no snow, this kind of weather is bad enough to ruin my mood. But hey, I'm still standing, and this is thanks to my very best post-Christmas-and-NYE-friends, being XL coffee (in fun on-the-go-cups - as I am forced to leave the house every now and then), XL wool sweaters (what is more fun than turning the heating to the max and walking around in oversized sweaters and over the knee socks?) and the saviour of saviours: Macarons! But a box like that really is a first aid kit for emergencies (like winter depression!). You might not be strolling around in Paris but at least le goût is within reach. Happy survivin, babes!
